The Meertens Institute Electronic Publications in Linguistics (MIEPiL) is a series of electronic books on modern linguistics in general, and variation linguistics in particular. All MIEPiL volumes are reviewed and edited following standard procedures ‘normal’ publications on paper.
The Meertens Institute of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences acts as the publisher of these volumes. At present the papers are available in pdf-format. We are studying the possibilities of other forms of publication, including printing-on-demand.
