Biography

Marit van Dijk (1993) is a citizen science researcher at the Meertens Institute. In this role she will be exploring multi-species collaborations on farms, working closely with agro-ecological farmers.

She studied at the Reinwardt Academy and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in Social Geography at University College Cork in Ireland. In recent years, she has worked as a project leader and researcher at the Reinwardt Academy. In her research, she works closely with social partners on heritage in practice, for example on nature-inclusive heritage approaches for museums, decolonisation in public spaces and the development of multi-voiced valuation frameworks. Examples include work on art in public spaces in The Hague in collaboration with Stroom and within NWA-ORC Traumascapes. She is also a member of the advisory board at the Kunstmuseum Den Haag and a board member of the Weverijmuseum in Geldrop.
