Janna oud Ammerveld (1991) works as a postdoctoral researcher at the Meertens Institute and the Amsterdam University of the Arts. She studied conservation and restoration of cultural heritage at the University of Antwerp and critical heritage studies at University College London. Oud Ammerveld conducts research within the project ‘Sprong: Imagination in Transitions‘, a collaboration between the Amsterdam University of the Arts, Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences, Rietveld Academie and Inholland, which investigates the potential for creative (research) methods within transition processes. She is supervised by Prof. Sophie Elpers. Her research focuses on the transition of the Amsterdam Public Library (OBA) to OBA Next, the library of the future. She also works with Sprong partner Imagine IC on an ethical framework for collaborations and co-creation processes. Oud Ammerveld is furthermore interested in the role of cultural heritage in climate change and energy issues. Other projects she is involved in include a research project at Utrecht University on the cultural heritage of the Groningen gas field.
