Sethia, S. (Shikha)

Shikha Sethia (1986) is Programme Manager – Citizen Science at the Meertens Institute. Sethia studied Development Studies at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague. At the Meertens Institute, they focus on developing best practices for community engagement when it comes to democratising culture and heritage-related collections and research. They are currently involved in coordinating the KNAW Strategiefonds project on Citizen Science for the Humanities Cluster. Within their work, Sethia finds it important to challenge inequities in access to power and resources through social justice-informed research practices. Previously, they have conducted research, programme management, fundraising, and strategy development activities at various non-profit organisations.
